Braun J700 Multiquick 7 Juicer Review
Heres my review of the Braun J700 Multiquick 7
The Braun Multiquick Juicer is available in J300, J500 and J700 versions. I’m pretty sure the J300 and the J500 are both also good for their purpose, but I have chosen the J700. I have been using it for about two months now, and have never looked back. The more this machine works, the more it seems to want to work. It is an excellent appliance for someone like me who consumes quite a lot of juice.
Being a high performance juicing system, this juicer renders a glass of fresh juice in only 15 seconds. The feeder chute is large enough to take whole fruits, making the juicing process just so much more of a pleasure. And if you like your citrus juice slightly bitter, you don’t have to peel the fruit.
It also contains an advanced anti-drip spout, ensuring a clean kitchen counter each time after the machine is used.
I am a proper health freak, so the ability to juice spinach, celery with its leaves, kale, lettuce and similar leaf-like vegies is a seller in itself. But that’s not the only amazing attribute that this machine has. Beetroot and carrots are a cinch. Add a little ginger for extra flavour. Just remember that Ginger is strongly flavored, so don’t add too much. Another great attribute is the fact that you can juice fruit such as pineapples and kiwi fruit skin and all. Also, remember that in most cases pineapples will be too large for the chute, so you’ll have to cut them in pieces before juicing.
A bit of a negative is the fact that it cannot seem to extract juice from starch-based vegies such as sweet potatoes. And bananas are a waste of time, unless you’d like a smoothie instead of juice. Just add some milk to make it drinkable. And liven it up with a dash of ground cinnamon and even a sprinkle of paprika if you wish. If you like raw eggs, you can add that too!
The machine is sturdy and gives the impression of quality. Cleaning is easy since all loose parts are dishwasher safe. However, if you don’t have a dishwasher, cleaning will take a few minutes more, using the double-sided cleaning brush provided.
All in all, I am happy with my new Braun J700 Multiquick Juicer.
